Abstract
Une institution psychiatrique se définit comme un groupe de professionnels de compétences différentes, se réunissant autour du projet d’accueillir et de soigner des personnes ayant des troubles psychiques. Cette définition est examinée dans ses différentes dimensions : groupe, et donc collectif constituant un organisme vivant ; complémentarité ; élaboration d’un ensemble cohérent et sens de la notion de cohérence ; actions communes et objet de cette pulsionnalité collective : le patient ou ses soins. Les questions du lieu de l’institution, et aussi de la nature du trouble psychique, sont également évoquées.
