Abstract
The central aspect of the alexithymia construct resides in one's capacity to control feelings and in the difficulty to communicate emotions to others. The studies conducted in recent years on various groups show the practical validity and utility of such a construct. The research was conducted on a sample of 160 students in their final year of secondary school, and they were subjected to the Italian version of the Toronto Alexithymia Scale and the Big Five Questionnaire that measures non pathological traits of personality.
