Abstract
La maladie pousse les femmes à rechercher, à tâtons, divers soins. Cette quête errante a son cortège d’événements inattendus. Désillusionnées, les femmes découvrent leur séropositivité chez le professionnel ou la professionnelle de soins biomédicaux à l’issue d’un long trajet thérapeutique. La vie « normale » change alors de cours chez les femmes déclarées séropositives qui entrent dans un dispositif de traitement biomédical complexe. Le soignant ou la soignante préconise aux femmes un accès à la prise en charge biomédicale et le repérage d’une ou de personnes à qui se confier pour atténuer les effets sociaux à travers des stratégies de communication sur la séropositivité avec le milieu conjugal et familial.
