Abstract
Cet article présente les résultats d’une étude exploratoire et descriptive visant à mieux comprendre le phénomène de gestion intégrée des jonctions d’information dans une organisation, le gouvernement fédéral canadien, ayant adopté officiellement une politique de gestion de l’information. Les résultats de l’analyse des politiques d’information du gouvernement fédéral indiquent une approche morcelée de la gestion de l’information, bien qu’il y ait un souhait déclaré d’intégration. L’analyse des organigrammes de 19 ministères montre une tendance à intégrer sous une même structure organisationnelle les différentes fonctions d’information responsables de la gestion des technologies et du contenu informationnel, en excluant la fonction de communication. L’étude de cas d’une organisation gouvernementale montre que les fonctions d’information sont fortement différenciées, font preuve de peu d’interdépendance et ont un degré d’intégration limité, mis à part la structure organisationnelle.
