Abstract
La classe des deux ans est une particularité française et a fait l’objet de recherches que l’article présente. Le Ministère de l’Education Nationale prend en compte ces très jeunes écoliers dans ses programmes et intègre dans ses directives les résultats des recherches présentées dans cet article. L’interactionnisme social constitue la référence principale des travaux, mettant au premier plan le rôle de la parole enseignante pour les apprentissages. Cependant, la classe des deux ans fait l’objet de débats périodiques en France dans lesquels sont évoqués des résultats contradictoires quant aux effets de la scolarisation précoce. Il s’avère nécessaire de mettre en place un programme de recherche spécifique et pluridimensionnel pour en identifier les conditions de l’efficacité de la scolarisation précoce sur la réussite scolaire par rapport aux autres modes d’accueil.
