Abstract
O presente trabalho aborda a inserção do tema Controle Social no espaço da formação acadêmica dos cursos de saúde como ferramenta imprescindível à efetivação das políticas ensejadas pelo Sistema único de Saúde (SUS). Para tanto, parte de uma revisão integrativa nas bases Scielo e Google Scholar como metodologia de pesquisa através dos descritores Controle Social; Educação; Formação; Ensino; Mobilização; Sujeitos Sociais; Saúde; Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais (DCNs) e Políticas Públicas de Saúde, agrupados ou isoladamente, com o objetivo de responder à questão norteadora “como o controle social é abordado na formação universitária?”. As mudanças no campo da saúde ensejadas pela Reforma Sanitária e a criação do SUS trouxeram consigo necessidades relativas à qualificação dos profissionais do serviço. As Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais foram implantadas em 2001 com o objetivo de reorientar a formação em saúde aos moldes das prerrogativas do SUS. Apesar disso, poucas universidades têm se adequado às diretrizes e, quando o fazem, desconsideram o Controle Social como parte constituinte do processo formativo.
