Abstract
A aldeia Cinta Vermelha-Jundiba (CVJ) representa um caso único no Brasil. Pela primeira vez, um grupo de indígenas formado por diferentes grupos étnicos (Pataxó e Pankararu) se uniu e comprou sua própria terra. Comunicação, cultura e alimentação têm papel fundamental nesse processo. Por isso, este artigo explora os conceitos de comunicação e cultura, relacionando-os à segurança alimentar e nutricional. Propõe-se que a aldeia Cinta Vermelha-Jundiba poderá servir de modelo para as demais comunidades formularem através de seus conhecimentos tradicionais, a reconstrução de suas identidades e a promoção da segurança alimentar e nutricional.
