Cette etude porte sur l’implantation de PEM Relais dans quatre communes periurbaines proches de Laval en Mayenne. Apres avoir defini la notion de periurbanisation, les caracteristiques de ces localites vont etre developpees, ainsi que les rapports qu’elles entretiennent avec la ville Centre. Le ferroviaire, grâce a l’arrivee de la LGV BPL en 2017, constitue une alternative possible a l’utilisation majoritaire de la voiture dans ces territoires, surtout pour les mobilites quotidiennes. Le PEM Relais, pourrait permettre d’apporter une nouvelle dynamique aux communes (diversification residentielle, commerciale, associative…). Il fonctionne en etroite relation avec un PEM Centre (echanges de Peripherie -> Ville Centre, mais aussi de Ville Centre -> Peripherie), et traduira une mutation des rapports entre les communes periurbaines dotees d’une gare et la ville Centre. Une methodologie d’etude permettra de mettre en evidence les criteres de reussite des PEM Relais, leurs specificites et leurs possibilites d’integration paysagere grâce a l’action du paysagiste.
