Abstract
Dans cet article, la vice-présidente à la recherche au Conseil du patronat du Québec fait un parallèle entre la théorie économique qu’elle a enseignée pendant plusieurs années et sa pratique d’économiste du travail. Elle soutient que la théorie économique a ses limites, mais qu’elle offre néanmoins un certain éclairage sur toutes les questions d’intérêt commun, d’action collective et sur les débats concernant la recherche d’une plus grande efficacité et la poursuite de l’équité. Elle s’interroge enfin sur l’intérêt collectif et l’individualisme méthodologique, sur la logique de l’action collective et sur la concertation.
