Abstract
L'volution des gnomes est un processus complexe qui implique souvent des transferts horizontaux de matriel gntique. Il existe des cas bien connus comme le transfert massif d'ADN du gnome des mitochondries et des chloroplastes, deux organites d'origine eubactrienne, vers celui du noyau. Rcemment, avec la disponibilit de squences compltes de plusieurs gnomes bactriens et de gnomes eucaryotes, le caractre dynamique des gnomes a t mis en vidence. Il semble en effet que les gnomes des eubactries et ceux des archobactries soient des chimres, tant composs de fragments d'origines diverses. De plus, il a t propos que le gnome eucaryote ancestral ait t form par la fusion de gnomes bactriens. La gnomique, qui est une science en pleine expansion, bouleverse dj notre faon d'tudier et de comprendre l'origine et l'volution des tres vivants.
