Abstract
Ce travail s'interesse a l'elimination des ions Zn 2+ en solution aqueuse par adsorption sur une argile naturelle. Les effets de la masse d'adsorbant, de la concentration initiale de Zn 2+ , du pH et de la temperature de la solution ont ete etudies. L'etude cinetique montre que l'adsorption de Zn 2+ suit une cinetique d'ordre apparent egal a un et qu'elle est controlee a la fois par la diffusion a travers la couche limite et par celle a l'interieur des pores de l'adsorbant. L'etude thermodynamique indique que l'adsorption des ions Zn 2+ sur l'argile ne depend pas de la temperature dans la gamme de 25 a 50 °C, par contre elle est fortement influencee par le pH de la solution, par la concentration en ions Zn 2+ et par la dose d'argile appliquee. A l'equilibre, les isothermes d'adsorption obtenues obeissent a la loi de Langmuir et a celle de Freundlich.
