Abstract
Studie se skládá ze dvou částí, z nichž první je věnovaná obecné charakteristice A. Comta jako likvidátora filozofie, hlasatele sjednocující systemizace a romantického humanitáře; dále je v ní mapován Comtův vliv na T. G. Masaryka (kde je sledována hlavně filiace Comte-Brentano-TGM) a F. X. Šaldu (zejména z hlediska jeho akceptace Comtovy myšlenky "vlády mrtvých"). Druhá část zahrnuje rozbor Comtova chápání spontánního vývoje a kritické komentáře k Comtově koncepci spontánní geneze jazyka, v níž je viděn předstupeň Durkheimova sociologismu.
