She currently occupies an interprofessional faculty position with the University of Manitoba's Department of Family Medicine teaching unit, Northern Connection Medical Centre. Sonya Grypma, PhD, RN, is a nurse historian. She is also Professor and Dean of Nursing at Trinity Western University in Langley, Canada. Her second book China interrupted: Japanese internment and the reshaping of a Canadian missionary community was released by Wilfrid Laurier University Press in 2012.
