デラコンコルド跨道橋の崩落事故に関する調査委員会の報告書の概要を述べた。このコンクリート橋は, カナダのモントリオール市郊外に1971年に建設され, 2006年9月30日に崩落した。橋長は60.8m, 総幅員は27.4mで, 20本のPCホロー桁 (27.4m) が, 橋台片持部材の端の桁受部 (伸縮装置の直下) で支持されていた。崩落の主要因として, 設計時の不適切な配筋, 施工時の不適切な配筋変更, 橋台への低品質コンクリートの使用を挙げ, 助長要因として, 厚いスラブに対するせん断補強筋の不足, 床版表面への防水処理の不足, 不適切な補修による損傷を挙げている。事故の再発を防止するための広範囲の勧告が述べられている。
