Abstract
Salon de la forêt 2013 -« Le peuple lié à sa forêt »' est sous le thème « Le peuple lié à sa forêt » que les étudiants de foresterie de l'Université Laval ont organisé le 34 e Salon de la forêt au Centre de Foires Expo Cité à Québec les 18, 19 et 20 janvier.Le lancement officiel a eu lieu le vendredi 18 janvier en présence de M. Robert Beauregard, Doyen de la Faculté de foresterie, de géographie et de géomatique de l'Université Laval, ainsi que de M. Mario Gibeault, Directeur général du bureau de la mise en marché du bois.Le Salon de la forêt vise à faciliter le contact entre le milieu forestier et le grand public.Une quarantaine d' exposants de tous les secteurs forestiers étaient sur place.Notons le retour de plusieurs activités vedettes comme les démonstrations de débardage à cheval ou encore le baptême de grimpe, qui simule le travail d'un d' élagueur.Des nouveautés ont aussi su plaire aux habitués du salon, notamment un simulateur d'abattage.Pour son édition 2013, le Salon de la forêt a ciblé les petits propriétaires
