From 1990 to 1997 she and her husband Charles Lillard operated Reference West, a small literary press publishing over 100 chapbooks of poetry and short fiction by some of Canada's finest writers. Her own books include Bearings, Interpreting Silence and Weather Report. Her poetry, fiction, reviews and essays have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies. She is currently the Assistant Editor of The Malahat Review. Rhonda Batchelor se ha desempeñado como escritora, editora, y vendedora de libros y consultora desde 1977. After graduating from high school, she moved back to the US and completed her university studies there, earning a BA in Spanish and German from Duquesne University (1994), an MA in Spanish and Comparative literature from the University of Notre Dame (1996) and a PhD in Hispanic Literature from Vanderbilt University (2004). Currently a professor of Spanish at Kentucky Wesleyan College, she has done numerous poetry translations from Slovenian, German, and English into Spanish, and has been a member of the advisory board of this journal since its inception.
