Abstract
Displaced midshaft fractures of the clavicle that are treated conservatively and go on to malunite are not always benign entities. A growing body of evidence exists that shows this can lead to shoulder and periscapular pain, muscle fatigue with decreased strength and endurance, and patient dissatisfaction. We describe the indications and technique to perform corrective osteotomy for patients with midshaft malunion of the clavicle.
