Abstract
Impedance of polycrystalline platinum interfaced with 0.5 M H2SO4 in the broad range of electrode potentials was investigated. For the interpretation of the experimental data, statistical criteria linking the real and the imaginary parts of the impedance were employed. After analysis of the experimental data it was found that the impedance of Pt throughout the potential region between -0.16 and 1.54 V (RHE) may be modeled by the equivalent circuit that includes in addition to the set of resistors and capacitors, the frequency-dependent element corresponding to the Warburg impedance.
