Abstract

多くの意思決定研究では予測しやすいもしくは予測しにくい一つの正答がある事態について検討がなされてきた。意思決定に伴う結果が確率的に変化する, もしくは他者の決定により変化するために予測困難な事態(予測可能性が低い事態)は不確実下における意思決定として研究がなされてきた。このような意思決定とは異なり, 全く正答の存在しない事態における意思決定というものも存在する。本論文では, 一つの正答のある, そして正答のない事態における意思決定研究をレビューし, それらの研究において観察されている内側前頭前皮質内の活動部位の違いを比較した。その結果, 一つの予測可能性の低い正答のある意思決定と正答のない意思決定の両方で内側前頭前皮質の上部に活動が認められていることが明らかとなった。このことは不確実性という概念の再考とMPFCの機能についての示唆を与えるものである。
