Cet article expose les principes fondamentaux sur lesquels s’appuie mon enseignement. La pédagogie du théâtre commande que le futur enseignant possède des qualités pédagogiques intrinsèquement liées à la pratique artistique, dont la principale est de s’appuyer sur « une gymnastique d’ouverture à l’autre », une condition sine qua non pour qu’émerge le jeu. L’enseignement de l’art dramatique exige donc un travail sur le climat de la classe, tout autant qu’un travail d’entraîneur et un travail sur le matériau de la langue, afin d’aider le jeune du milieu scolaire à accéder à l’espace fictionnel. Par la médiation du personnage, l’élève découvre son identité et s’ouvre à l’altérité; il s’ensuit une série de rencontres qui sont sources de transformation.
