Abstract
Antonio Negri builds upon the aesthetic theory of thinkers from Kant and Heidegger to Delueze and Foucault with his recent text Art & Multitude, where he applies this theory to possible modes of political resistance and social change. With an analysis of various shifts in capitalist production considered in relation to the central art movements of the past two centuries, Negri considers both the realities of the present labour struggles and the possibilities for liberation constructed through artistic action.
