Abstract
After a week of tough negotiations, delegates from 133 countries meeting in Montreal finalized a treaty to protect the environment from risks posed by trade in genetically engineered seeds, agricultural commodities, microbes, and live fish. Although it appeared the talks were on the verge of collapse the day before the meeting was scheduled to end, the delegates were able to reach consensus by 5 AM on Jan. 29 (C&EN, Jan. 31, page 5). All parties involved, including industry and environmental groups, are reasonably satisfied with the outcome. "It is a treaty that protects Earth's biological diversity without disrupting world food trade," said Frank E. Loy, the U.S. State Department's undersecretary for global affairs. "This is a historic step toward protecting the environment and consumers from the dangers of genetic engineering," said Benedikt Haerlin, Greenpeace International's campaign coordinator for genetic engineering. Under the agreement, called the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, countries will use an Internet-based clearinghouse ...

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from it
