Recent advances in acetylene chemistryAvant-propos La chimie de la triple liaison carbone-carbone a connu un essor conside ´rable durant les dix dernie `res anne ´es.Ceci est essentiellement lie ´au de ´veloppement de nouvelles me ´thodes de synthe `se fonde ´es sur la catalyse par des me ´taux de transition et les ace ´tylures.En particulier, la chimie des alcynes a joue ´un ro ˆle central dans la pre ´paration de nouveaux oligome `res pconjugue ´s line ´aires.Si au de ´part, la force motrice pour la synthe `se et l'e ´tude d'oligome `res bien de ´finis a e ´te ´ l'e ´laboration de relation structure-activite ´pour rationaliser les proprie ´te ´s des polyme `res conjugue ´s correspondants, cette recherche a e ´galement stimule ´le de ´veloppements de nouvelles familles de mole ´cules fascinantes.Ces nouveaux compose ´s sont des syste `mes p-macrocycliques, des sous-structures graphitiques bidimensionnelles, des cages tridimensionnelles ressemblant aux fullere `nes, et des structures hyperbranche ´es.Dans de nombreux cas, les proprie ´te ´s optoe ´lectroniques de ces compose ´s les rendent attractifs pour des applications en science des mate ´riaux.Ceci a conduit a `faire de la chimie des ace ´tyle `nes un domaine pluridisciplinaire a `l'interface entre la chimie, la physique et la science des mate ´riaux.Il peut aussi e ˆtre ajoute ´que l'approche bottom-up pour la construction de circuits e ´lectroniques a `partir de nanofils mole ´culaires p-conjugue ´s est un domaine particulie `rement attractif donnant lieu a `des efforts de recherche conside ´rables aujourd'hui.D'un autre co ˆte ´, les alcynes sont aussi des briques de base importantes pour la pre ´paration de produits naturels et des structures hybrides posse ´dant des activite ´s biologiques inte ´ressantes.Les diffe ´rentes contributions de laboratoires du monde entier re ´unies dans ce volume spe ´cial du Comptes Rendus Chimie illustrent l'e ´tat de l'art de la chimie des alcynes.
