Abstract
9歳, 雌のゴールデンレトリバーの上顎腫瘤を生検し, 紡錘形細胞の増殖を認めた。北海道大学附属動物病院で精査したところ, 肉眼的観察において硬口蓋の膨隆と糜燗化した腫瘍様組織の歯肉から上顎骨背側方向への進展が認められ, CT検査では, 上顎骨が吸収され, 病巣は鼻腔内に及んでいた。CT検査による腫瘍の拡がりをもとにして手術計画を立て, 第2前臼歯まで含めた上顎骨両側吻側切除を実施した。切除検体の組織学的検査により, 病巣は高分化型線維肉腫であり, 切除マージンに腫瘍細胞がないことが判った。本症例は, 上顎が萎縮性に短縮したものの, 術後25か月経過した現在も再発および転移を認めず健存中である。
