Abstract
In this paper, the inverse Jiles-Atherton model taking into account the mechanical effect of the material through the effective magnetic field is applied to magnetostrictive materials. The influence of the mechanical stress on the behaviour of magnetization was highlighted. The study led to propose two distinct models of the magnetostriction as a function of magnetization for the high and low stresses. The obtained results are compared with those provided in practice.
