Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The « human tail » is just one example of what evolutionist call a vestigial organ and represents a remnant of what was once a functional and useful organ in our primitive ancestors. During the 5th-6th week of pregnancy, the human embryo has a physiological tail. This structure eventually regresses by the 8th week by the fusion of vertebrae, leaving behind the vestigial coccyx. Persistence beyond the first trimester is unusual. A true tail arises from the most distal non-vertebrate remnant of the embryonic tail. This appendage located in the sacrococcygeal area contains adipose tissue, connective tissue, muscles, blood vessels and nerves, which are all covered by a layer of skin. It never contains bones. A true tail presents with associated congenital anomalies in 29% of cases. A true tail must be differentiated from a pseudo tail caused by a prominent sacrum, an elongated coccyx, an undelying lipoma or sacro-coccygian teratoma, or a pilonidal sinus. We report four cases of vestigial tail. Supporting information can be found in the online version of this abstract P11.03: Table 1. Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
