The purpose of this study is to analyze about the ‘City Planning Regulation for Barrier-free of The Wakayama Prefecture’. The following are part of the results through the investigation of 664 submitted building documents. 1) The social welfare building consist of a quarter of all submitted building ones, as well as the commercial building ones. 2) The social welfare and medical buildings become to be difficult to conform with the criteria of barrier-free. 3) The modification of regulation makes small buildings regulate effectively. 4) The investigation found completed buildings still the issue of barrier-free.
