Abstract
Dr. Robert Donatelli is a physical therapist with a significant number of accomplishments and titles, particularly in sports medicine. He is the clinical director of an outpatient facility, providing sports and orthopaedic rehabilitation, and national director of a sports rehabilitation organisation. He is the editor of Physical Therapy of the Shoulder and Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and has lectured extensively throughout the United States, Canada, England, Romania, Sweden and Australia. Alongside academic achievement he is also a physical therapist for the ATP and PGA tennis tours and personal physical therapist to Andy Roddick. Dr Donatelli has rehabilitated many professional athletes and was the physical therapist for the Champions Tour of Tennis, which included tennis legends such as Jimmy Connors and John McEnroe. He is particularly well known for his work on shoulder and foot rehabilitation, which is evident in detailed chapters in the book on upper and lower limb pathology, biomechanics and evaluation; with an appropriate intermediary linkage of ‘core’ and kinetic chain theory and practice.
