Périodiquement, l’idée d’appliquer à l’enseignement collégial les dispositions de la Charte de la langue française refait surface dans l’actualité québécoise. À chaque occasion, des experts de différentes disciplines se prononcent sur son opportunité. Le présent article se veut une contribution au débat en approfondissant plusieurs des questions juridiques pertinentes qu’il suscite. Après avoir circonscrit le débat en illustrant les changements législatifs qu’un tel projet commanderait, les auteurs constatent, à la lumière de récents développements en matière de droit de la personne, qu’il serait vraisemblablement conforme au droit constitutionnel canadien.
