Abstract
Fragestellung: Erste Berichte, Sonografie zur Darstellung der Gesichtsmuskulatur zu nutzen sind über 20 Jahre alt. Eine quantitative Beschreibung der gesunden Gesichtsmuskulatur und deren pathologische Veränderung durch Fazialisläsion sind aber bisher noch nicht veröffentlicht worden. Die Darstellung mit MRT und CT ist zwar möglich, aufgrund des Aufwandes, der Kosten und der Belastung des Patienten aber nicht für die klinische Routine geeignet. Ob die Sonografie die notwendige Messgenauigkeit und Reproduzierbarkeit liefern kann, um erstmals eine enge Verlaufskontrolle und funktionelle Untersuchungen an Patienten zu ermöglichen, soll diese Studie zeigen.
