Abstract
Ce livre edite sous la direction de plusieurs eminents psychiatres francais rassemble un ensemble de chapitres se concentrant sur les troubles bipolaires comme son titre l’indique, en commencant d’abord par l’evolution des idees concernant les troubles bipolaires et en detaillant les classifications passees et actuelles comprenant la future CIM 11 et le DSM 5. Ensuite, viennent un ensemble de chapitres consacres a la clinique des troubles bipolaires chez l’adulte allant des descriptions de la manie aigue jusqu’a la description de la cyclothymie et des temperaments affectifs a la frontiere des troubles psychopathologiques. Les diagnostics differentiels sont abordes ainsi que les formes cliniques notamment chez l’enfant et l’adolescent. Les formes evolutives sont aussi decrites comprenant les troubles bipolaires a cycles rapides, le risque suicidaire, etc. Une revue des echelles de mesure psychopathologiques est aussi presentee. Enfin, sont abordees les comorbidites addictives et somatiques, neurologiques ou autres (TDAH, troubles de personnalite, etc.). Les derniers chapitres de ce livre sont consacres aux traitements pharmacologiques et psychotherapiques et de prise en charge sociale. Notons un chapitre interessant sur la therapie interpersonnelle et d’amenagement des rythmes sociaux, un abord de plus en plus important dans la prise en charge.
