Abstract
L'auteur pose au départ le problème de la place de plus en plus restreinte qu'occupent les disciplines de base dans la formation pédagogique au niveau universitaire. Il établit un parallèle entre cette situation et la multiplication de programmes de formation professionnelle devenus très spécialisés et axés sur les pratiques. S'inspirant de l'expérience de développement de la NSÉ (nouvelle sociologie de l'éducation) en Angleterre, dont il fait une analyse critique sans complaisance, il propose une modernisation et une démocratisation du curriculum qui impliquerait un nouveau rapport entre disciplines de base et spécialisation et permettrait une plus large participation au savoir.
