Abstract
In this paper, the non-linear frequency domain scheme and spectral dierence discretiza-tion are combined to form a solution methodology for the 2D periodic Euler equations. A limiter-based shock-capturing technique is employed within the implicit LU-SGS time marching algorithm to accurately resolve \now discontinuities. The resulting framework leads to an ecient implicit numerical scheme designed for transonic periodic \now prob-lems. First, two steady airfoil cases are tackled to validate the spectral dierence solver. Second, two pitching airfoil are considered to investigate the scheme's potential for un-steady problems. I.
