Les futurs enseignants qui sont formés au Québec sont-ils prêts à intégrer les technologies de l’information et de la communication (TIC) en contexte scolaire ? Pour répondre à cette question, une enquête a été réalisée auprès de 2’065 futurs enseignants, 410 enseignants associés et 90 superviseurs de stage provenant de 9 universités francophones du Québec offrant un programme de formation initiale à l’enseignement. Les résultats de l’étude montrent que les futurs enseignants ont accès aux équipements nécessaires pour se familiariser avec les TIC et possèdent une grande maîtrise des outils technologiques de base. Les données recueillies révèlent également que ces derniers utilisent régulièrement et de façon critique les TIC pour planifier, communiquer, rechercher de l’information, préparer du matériel pédagogique, résoudre des problèmes ou se perfectionner sur le plan professionnel. Malgré ce portrait fort prometteur, les résultats de l’étude indiquent aussi qu’une très faible proportion de futurs enseignants utilisent les technologies en salle de classe. La conclusion de l’étude fait état de certaines recommandations.
