Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui faktor - faktor yang secara rasional bisa mempengaruhi masa tunggu kerja lulusan program studi manajemen Universitas Bakrie angkatan 2008 – 2010. Data penelitian didapatkan dari 150 responden penelitian yang berstatus sebagai alumni program studi manajemen Universitas Bakrie. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Variabel bebas yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis kelamin (X1), jumlah anggota keluarga (X2), wilayah tempat tinggal (X3), tahun masuk/ angkatan (X4), indeks prestasi kumulatif/ IPK (X5), usia ketika lulus S1 (X6), total waktu magang (X7), total jumlah organisasi kemahasiswaan yang pernah diikuti (X8), total waktu keterlibatan dalam aktivitas organisasi kemahasiswaan (X9), posisi tertinggi di organisasi (X10), total waktu berkerja freelance / kontrak (X11), Tingkatan Kompetisi dengan Didapatkannya Peringkat Kompetisi (X12),  mengikuti training softskills (X13) dan variabel terikat yang digunakan adalah masa tunggu kerja (Y). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan hanya variabel independen X9 dan X11 berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel dependen Y. Yakni, total waktu keterlibatan dalam aktivitas organisasi kemahasiswaan dan total waktu berkerja freelance / kontrak mempengaruhi masa tunggu kerja lulusan. Kata kunci : Program Studi Manajemen, Universitas Bakrie, total waktu keterlibatan dalam aktivitas organisasi kemahasiswaan, pengalaman kerja, masa tunggu kerja lulusan. This study was conducted to investigate the rational factors that could affect the waiting-time before employment, experienced by the alumni of Management Study Program, Bakrie University, 2008-2010 cohort. Data were obtained from 150 respondents (alumni). The method of analysis used is multiple linier regression analysis. The independent variables are gender (X1), family size background (X2), modernity of domicile (X3), year admitted in the University (X4), GPA (X5), age when graduated (X6), internship duration (X7), involvement in many different extracurricular organizations (X8), length of time involvement in extracurricular organizations (X9), achieved position in the extracurricular organizations (X10), working experience as a freelance or contract worker (X11), achievement in any competition during study (X12), softskill training (X13). The dependent variable are the waiting-time before employment (Y). The results shows that only the independent variable X9 and X11 affect the dependent variable (Y). Thus, the length of time involvement in extracurricular organizations and the working experience as a freelance or contract worker statistically affect the alumni’s waiting-time before employment.
