Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Latossolo e Argissolo. EVALUATION OF PHYSICAL-HYDRIC SOIL ATTRIBUTES IN IGUARAÇU-PR: SUBSIDIES FOR MANAGEMENT AND PRESERVATION OF WATER AND SOIL ABSTRACTThe knowledge of the physical-hydric proprieties of soil supports the decision making process in which the best soil management strategy in a given area is taking into account the particularities of each class and adopt conservationist support measures. Thus, the objective of this study is to evaluate the physical-hydric behavior of medium texture Red Oxisol and Red Ultisol under different uses in the city of Iguaraçu, Parana State, Brazil. Samplings were conducted on the surface horizon of soils under pasture, temporary crops, sugarcane crops and native forest. Each soil had its soil density, total porosity, resistance to penetration, infiltration rate and hydraulic conductivity determined in accordance with the established criteria from the soil analysis methods manual. The permeability was determined using a Guelph permeameter with the one hydraulic load method, and the resistance to penetration was measured using an impact penetrometer Geotester Pocket. The tests point to the conclusion that the worst conditions were found in Ultisol under pasture and in Oxisol under sugarcane, making necessary management practices to minimize the environmental impacts in order to conciliate the economic exploitation of soil and the conservation of its properties. KEYWORDS: Permeability. Physical quality. Oxisol and Ultisol. Oxisol y Ultisol.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
