Abstract
High-dose intravenous therapy with proton-pump inhibitors (PPIs) reduces the risk for rebleeding in patients with bleeding peptic ulcers. Thus, IV PPI therapy is the standard of care for these patients after endoscopy and might also be beneficial before endoscopy.
