Abstract
Dans les alliages Al-Mg, les instabilites mecaniques, connues sous le nom de phenomenes de Portevin-Le Châtelier (ou effet PLC), se traduisent par des effets de localisation de la deformation plastique sous certaines conditions de vitesse de deformation et de temperature. Lors d’essais de traction, les instabilites PLC sont mises en evidence par des irregularites typiques sur la courbe force vs deplacement. Dans la presente etude, on se propose d’evaluer l’influence de la longueur de l’eprouvette sur les parametres de l’instabilite PLC. A cet effet, des essais de traction a temperature ambiante ont ete menes sur des eprouvettes de differentes longueurs decoupees selon la direction du laminage. L’evolution, a l’echelle locale, des composantes du champ de deformation est obtenue en utilisant une technique d’analyse par correlation d’images.
