A questão identitária na América do Norte, particularmente no Québec, está longe de ser resolvida. Inúmeras tentatives de conceitulizá-la na literatura e na crítica literária de nossos dias permanecem muito dificeis principalmente por causa da ligação da problemática com as transformações socioeconômicas e culturais da sociedade atual.. O presente estudo, apoiado principalmente na deconstrução de Jacques Derrida, é apenas um esboço do percurso identitário na poética de un dos poetas quebequenses mais representativos do Canada de expressão francesa.

\nLa question identitaire en Amérique du Nord, particulièrement à Québec, est loin d’être chose accomplie. Néanmoins de nombreuses tentatives de l’expliquer et de la conceptualiser dans la littérature, voire dans la critique littéraire actuelle, demeurent d’autant plus difficiles que la problématique est liée aux transformations socio-économiques et culturelles de la société actuelle. La présente étude, appuyée principalement sur la déconstruction de Jacques Derrida, n ́est qu ́une ébauche du parcours identitaire dans la poétique d’um des poètes québécois les plus representatives de son époque au Canada d ́expression française.
