Abstract
Evidence-Based Answer Between 16% and 32% of women attending orthopedic fracture clinics reported a history of intimate partner violence (IPV) within the past year, although only about 2% presented as a direct consequence of IPV. Women in the Netherlands and Denmark reported less abuse than women in Canada and the United States. Very few women who reported IPV were asked about IPV previously by their healthcare providers (SOR: B, based on 2 cross-sectional studies).
