P-06-011 Climacturia: An Under-addressed Sequela of Radical Prostatectomy, But Treatment is Only a Sling Away

Abstract
Orgasm/sexual activity induced urinary incontinence (climacturia) is present in 20-48% of men who have undergone radical prostatectomy. We report the largest series to date of men with climacturia after radical prostatectomy treated with a transobturator male sling. Review of registry data for men treated with the AdVance male sling (Boston Scientific/AMS) following radical prostatectomy from 2010 through 2015 identified 37 men who had climacturia with stress urinary incontinence (sui) and 2 as stand alone climacturia. At this time, 37 had resumed sexual activity. All 37 (100%) report complete resolution of climacturia. Of the men with sui, 31 (83.7%) report resolution of sui. Climacturia is often present following radical prostatectomy, and can be effectively treated with a transobturator sling.
