Editor.I have found it to be a wonderful venue for gaining a broader, comparative understanding of global urban transformation.The journal's openness to interdisciplinary scholarship, together with its underlying commitment to ethnographic methods and sensibilities, makes it a unique resource for scholars of cities everywhere.In taking on the editorship, I am fortunate to be following in the footsteps of my predecessor, Suzanne Scheld.During her tenure the journal preserved its high standard of scholarship while expanding its international reach and building its digital profile.Over the next two years, I will continue efforts in these two domains while also streamlining the operations of the journal to make it as responsive and nimble as it can be.Editing a journal is a collaborative effort.I am
