Abstract
This Book tries to analyse the necessity of land use laws with reference to wetlands. Book tries to see whether the land use controls comply with the principle of sustainable development. How far the Indian legislation are in tune with sustainable development is analyzed with special reference to each form of wetland. Book tries to make a comparative approach with the laws of USA, UK and Canada in relation to the various forms of wetlands. to make a comprehensive approach to the readers the philosophical and historical analysis is done in a detailed and comparative mode. It contains the new approach towards the subject incorporating various land forms near to and affecting the protection of wetlands. Suggestions are carved out from all countries to make use of the best ones along with the need for comprehensive legislation covering all aspects of protection and sustainable development.
