Abstract
Le FACES IV (Olson, Gorall et Tiesel, 2006) est un instrument de mesure du fonctionnement familial utilisé dans plusieurs milieux de recherche et de pratique au Québec. L’étude a pour but de valider la structure factorielle de la version française du FACES IV et d’examiner sa cohérence interne, sa fidélité test-retest et sa validité concomitante auprès de 123 familles (parents et/ou adolescents) de la population générale et 256 familles recevant des services d’intervention de crise. La structure factorielle de l’outil présente des indices d’ajustement adéquats auprès des parents et des adolescents. Il possède des propriétés psychométriques satisfaisantes et pourrait être utilisé tant auprès d’une population générale que clinique. Toutefois, les résultats invitent à la prudence dans l’utilisation de l’outil auprès des adolescents.
