Abstract
The author holds that the journalistic consumption is anew trend that came into being with the advent of the consumption age, and that the major character of the trend is to cater to the psychological needs of the audience to the highest possible extent by offering superficial, sensational and entertaining stories. The journalistic consumption of the mass media has attracted attention from the public and the academics alike.
