Influence of Study on Saponins Accumulation of Alfalfa Seeds Treated by Ultraviolet Ray Mutation

Abstract
we use ultraviolet ray to treat alfafa seeds.The inducement of callues is conducted in MS medium.Saponins are extracted from these callus and seeds by the method of Microwave-assisted extraction(MAE),and then determinate the quantity of saponins in each treatment.The results show that the quantity of saponins from seeds treated by mutation is 0.3% more than that in the control.Ultraviolet ray treatment can increase significantly the quantity of saponins accumulation.
