Abstract
The social security system of China is playing a more and more important role in China's gradual process of constructing and perfecting the socialist market-oriented economy. It is still far away from the expected achievement though the reform of social security system has been lasted for nearly twenty years. It is a predominant mission to design the future development of the social security system on the base of successful experiences from other countries and scientific evaluation of the reform effect in China. Compared with other western countries, Canadian social security system has complete frame and plans. It is also a proper model to China. This paper introduces briefly Canadian social security system, and then points out nine enlightenments to China.
