Abstract
A magnetic solid superacid catalyst has been preparaed and the catalytic sysnthesis of hexyl acetate with acetic acid and hexyl alcohol as reactants has been studied. Through experiment, the factors of the reaction were optimized. The results showed that the appropriate conditions should be: weight of catalyst is 1.5 g, molar ratio of hexyl alcohol to acetic acid is 1.8,the taking water reagent(benzene) is 15 ml(when acetic acid is 0.1 mol), reaction time is 1.5 h.The ratio of esterification is over 89% .The catalyst could be isolated from other materials by magnetic separation .
