Abstract
Private letter is a sort of important material to theresearch on somebody in a cerfain period. The article announces a letter that was written in March 6, 1936 by Mr. James Menzies to Mr. Charles Curelly,the chief of the Royal Ontario Museum in Canada. We learn from the letter not only on James Menzies acfivify in the museum from 1936 to 1940 since he came back from China, but also on the information of Bishop White and James Menzies's collevtive acfivifies Chinese Arts as well. The letter to1d us also that the two collectors had very different ideas on the maffer. It's a useful data on the research of the history of Chinese archaeonlgy.
