Abstract
Apocynum venetum seed were introduced from Tongliao area in Inner Mongolia and planted and collected in the farm of Inner Mongolia agricultural university in 2010,2011,2012 and 2013 four different years. Several physiological and biochemical indexes were studied during the natural aging process. The results showed as follows: during natural storage conditions along with the storage time on apocynum venetum seeds,the storage substance like reducing sugar,soluble sugar content decreased,peroxidase and superoxide dismutase activity decreased,and MDA content increased,these changes of physiological and biochemical indexes of apocynum venetum seed,should be important factors leading to reduced seed vigor.
